Your stats are going to suck from now through the beginning of 2025.

Wow! Mo…super negative take.

Naw, not negative. Truthful. This ain’t my first political rodeo within social media and I can tell you from experience that your stats will suck. The platforms will be pushing political content more than your own. They’re working hard (heh, that’s what she said) to fight information, misinformation, and all the fun shenanigans that happen during this time.

And, it happens every election cycle.

So why even create content if my stats are going to suck? I hear you friend, I do.

My advice? This is the time when you TRY new content. When you explore other ways to reach your audience. When you EXPERIMENT with different ways to connect.

So what’s a content creator to do? The same thing I tell everyone:

1️⃣ Stay True to Your Brand: Ensure all content aligns with your brand’s core values and mission. Avoid engaging in political debates unless they directly relate to your brand’s principles.
2️⃣ Focus on Value: Develop content that provides value to your audience, whether through informative posts, engaging storytelling, or useful products and services
3️⃣ Engage Respectfully: Encourage respectful conversations that reflect your brand values. Avoid inflammatory or divisive content.
4️⃣ Focus on Community: Highlight how your brand supports its community and contributes positively, without veering into political endorsements.

Just know, your numbers, stats, impressions, views, etm – unless they’re divisive and inflammatory – are most likely going to suck for the next few months. Maintain the course and stay positive.

Embrace the suck, my friends.

Deuces,
Mo
