The most common mistake I see accounts make on social media - and it doesn't matter which platform - is NOT engaging on OPP. (Yeah, you know me!)

Other. People's. Posts. (Get your mind outta' the gutter. Actually, wait. I like that, that's why we're friends 😏)

If you want your content to be seen, if you want to get your name out there, then you NEED to be consistently posting on other people's posts. And I don't me just leaving a 😆🤮📍✅ emoji.

No, I mean leaving a comment of value and substance.

According to a Buffer article, "LinkedIn's updated algorithm rewards knowledge-rich posts by extending their reach beyond its immediate network. This indicates that even non-connected users who might find your content useful could see your posts."

Their (and my) recommendations for posts are:

- Focus on sharing knowledge and advice
- Prioritize relevance over virality
- Quality over quantity

And if you don't have Creator Mode Turned on, you should. If you don't know what that is, just DM me and I'll show you how to do it.

Your commentary and engagement on OPP will help your own content be shared to a wider variety of people within your own network and vertical.

Try it and let me know what happens.
