I'm engaged!

Now, how many of you will NOT read the post and just assume I just got engaged? My guess is 7/10. I would say there are going to be a ton of CONGRATULATIONS comments. I've been married for almost 24 years, but I will gladly take your congratulations. 😆

So, back to my announcement - I'm engaged. On the socials. All the time.

Engagement is a factor in how the algorithm shares your content. The faster your content gets engagement in likes, comments, shares, and saves the faster and more widespread your content goes based on the algorithm believing your content provides value in some context. But I'm not talking about your engagement rate on your own content, (though that does play a role) I'm talking about how often you engage with the content on your feed from other people.

If you're not ACTIVELY engaging on or with someone else's content you could be missing out big time.

From what I have seen and experienced, the more you actively leave commentary - not just a reaction - on someone else's content, the more likely your own content gets shown to a wider variety of people.

And this isn't just for LinkedIn, it's for all the socials. The more active you are, the more the algorithm gods favor you.

My suggestion for those of you who say you don't have time to engage on social - spend 10 minutes out of your day while you're sitting on the 🚽 (c'mon, we know you're scrolling anyway) and use that time wisely and productively. Engage with other people's content. Heh. Two birds with one stone.

Or you hire someone to do it for you. My DM's are open. 😘

You're welcome!
